LogiTag will implement at Tnuva’s dairy plant a sophisticated RFID systems to improve quality control and enable product traceability. Once fully deployed, the system is expected to save Tnuva anually over 500,000 US$ through reduced costs and loose .

Tnuva selected LogiTag to provide a  RFID based work-in-progress tracking solution to its dairy plant, in order to trace the location of each product and the duration it spend in each phase, ad part of an overall quality assurance process. After previously supplying Tnuva with RFID systems for other dairy plants, LogiTag was selected 6 month ago to conduct a trial phase, during which it proved its ability to deliver an Active-RFID based solution that can deliver high performances in a harsh, wet and metal environment. 

 “Conditions in the dairy plant prevented the implementation of other Auto-ID solutions in the past. Tnuva identified the potential in RFID and the potential it holds for great savings in their plant", says Shlomo Matityaho, LogiTag’s CEO. "The technology we deliver to Tnuca overcomes extreme operatiing conditions including high temperatures, metalic environment, high humidity, wet surfaces, acid liquieds and mechanichal shocks, while delivering excellent performances. LogiTag will implement its server technology, the LogiPlatform system, to enable secure monitoring if the products while interfacing with production systems".

In order to comply with all of the project requirments, as defined by Tnuva, LogiTag's solution integrated best-in-breed Active & passive RFID technologies, bundled with the LogiPlatform. The solution will deliver real-time information to quality-assirance and production systems of the dairy plant, and wil lenable pro-active quality control based on pre-defined business rules.

Once the solution is fully deployed in the dairy plant it is expected to save Tnuva up-to 500,000 US$ annualy by reducing quality control costs and product looses during production. Tnuva & Logitag are examining the oppurtunity to leverage their cooperation and implement the a similar solution in additional plants.
