StockBox

LogiTag’s StockBox provides materials managers with a simple method to automate the process of inventory management on existing shelving in any storage or patient care area. The StockBox System, utilizing RFID technology, is applicable in OR supply rooms, bulk storage in the pharmacy, nursing supply storage rooms and many other areas where inventory management is necessary to reduce cost and increase product availability.

Using either Kanban or a PAR Level approach to replenishment, RFID restocking cards communicate with the central supply room to replenish specific items used by the department. The StockBox system, utilizing RFID technology, is useful in OR supply rooms, bulk storage in the pharmacy, nursing supply
storage rooms, and many other areas where inventory management is necessary to reduce
cost and increase product availability.

StockBox features
Increased Efficiency- Reduced time to monitor inventory levels
Item Re-stock monitoring - record usage for items requiring this level of control
Detailed Management Reports -allow supply managers to adjust inventory levels
Streamlines restocking- allows the central store room or warehouse to provide area-specific totes to streamline the restocking
process
Confirmed replenishment-Recorded confirmation of replenished items
How It Works

 1. Department storage room shelves are stocked with bins, each holding medical supply items of a certain quantity. An RFID StockTag is represented for each item in each bin. When the item reaches a designated re-stocking point in the bin, the nurse or other hospital employee removes the tag from the bin and shelf and simply drops it in the StockBox.

2. The StockBox reads the RFID StockTag and automatically sends a message via a network or wireless signal to the StockBox Server indicating that the item needs to be restocked.

3. The hospital’s central supply replenishment room and/or distributor receives the restocking request and report for each StockBox located in the hospital. Unique totes are stocked with the items and supplies for restocking the necessary rooms and areas.

4. The replenished totes are delivered to the appropriate rooms. The person restocking the room unlocks the StockBox, removes the RFID StockTags and replenishes the items on the shelves rotating the remaining stock to the front and adding the new stock to the bin. The RFID StockTag is placed back in the bin. And this completes the restocking process.
